Eustis Memorial Library Internet Policy

EML 1950's.Beyond the Library's collection, the Internet provides a vast store of information for users with many interests and needs. It is important to note, however, that it is an unregulated resource. Along with the abundance of valuable information that they offer, sites may also hold unreliable material. This information is sometimes illegal under United States law and may be personally offensive. While all sites may not be found through this gateway, some may be located that you feel are inappropriate. You may also wish to recommend some that are not currently found. In either case, if reported to staff, the Library's Material Selection Policy will govern consideration of the site for compliance and action.

All public workstations are in view of staff and other users. Consistent with Florida Statutes, Chapter 847.011(1)(a) and Chapter 847.0133(1), users of the Internet are reminded that it is a violation of law to display obscene materials to minors. Users must abide by Florida State laws and the Library's policy for acceptable use of the Internet.
